Three luxury stays worth building a trip around
Garden days in Florence, a riverside retreat in Bali, and a quiet corner of Kyoto.

Luxury that fits the way you travel
A beautiful hotel can become the anchor of a trip, but ‘best’ depends on what you want from your days. A garden and a spa might matter more than nightlife; a central address might matter more than a private pool. This is an editorial shortlist of three real properties to explore, not a ranked award list or a report from a personal stay.
Before you commit, compare the room category, total rate, cancellation terms, transfers, and any seasonal facility closures. Photos of a signature suite do not tell you what every room includes. Ask for the details of the exact category you intend to book.
Florence · Four Seasons Hotel Firenze
For a Florence trip with time set aside to unwind, Four Seasons Hotel Firenze’s official spa page lists an outdoor pool, a year-round hot tub, a spa, sauna, steam bath, and fitness centre. Think sightseeing with breathing room: one cultural outing, then an afternoon that does not require another reservation.
Ask the hotel which pool and spa facilities are operating for your dates, whether treatments need advance reservations, and what is included in your room rate. If you plan to walk to sights, map the actual journey rather than relying on a broad ‘Florence’ address.
Bali · Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan
The resort’s official site describes a riverside setting near Ubud, private-pool villa options, and wellness experiences. It is a candidate for travelers who want the stay itself to be part of the itinerary, rather than somewhere they only return to sleep. Plan enough unstructured time to enjoy the setting.
Sayan is not a beach-hotel choice. Check transfer times against the rest of your Bali plans, and confirm whether your selected accommodation has a private pool. Ask about the content and suitability of individual wellness sessions; ‘wellness’ is a broad description, not a medical promise.
Kyoto · Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto
Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto’s official amenities page lists a spa, indoor pool, fitness centre, and the historic Shakusui-en pond garden. For a culture-focused itinerary, that combination offers a quieter counterpoint to busy sightseeing days. Leave space to appreciate the garden instead of treating it as another box to tick.
Jamie can help compare these properties with alternatives through her Fora advisor page. Request current availability and the complete offer before deciding; rates, upgrades, credits, and other perks are not guaranteed here. A well-matched stay is more useful than a famous name that does not suit your trip.
